TROUBLESHOOTING WIRELESS INTERNET PROBLEMS
If you are experiencing a slow internet connection or no connection.
- Inspect your equipment. Look for any loose connectors. Cables can become loose or damaged from moving the equipment and hand tightening is fine. If you see damaged Pass Word equipment, please contact our service department as soon as possible.
- Make certain your network cards & router or switches status lights are lit. Reboot your network hardware (switch's, hubs, router, etc.) if link lights are not illuminated.
- If the Pass Word wireless power injector power light is not on (your system may not have a status light) then check to make sure the unit is plugged in and power is available. This unit does require power to operate. You may have reboot the CPE by unplugging power from power injector unit wait 30 seconds, and plug power back into power injector. This will often restore service problems caused by momentary power outages and surges.
- Turn off firewalls to ensure these are not blocking your internet access. There are many firewalls that are either software or hardware based. Many firewalls employ a learning mode to help block undesirable traffic. It is common for firewalls to filter good networks by mistake. Firewall filtering often blocks mail server addresses and DNS.
- Attempt to determine where your connection is failing starting from your computer and working your way out to our wireless connection to the internet.
- DNS Configuration: 216.229.160.10 & 207.170.210.162
- Router Configuration: Older systems will have a static WAN IP of 10.0.0.2 and the Motorola systems will have a dynamic WAN IP.

If you are not receiving email.
Our email server uses a "Grey List." The first time that someone sends you an email, the senders address is placed in the "Grey List." After the sender sends you another email, our system will recognize the email address as being valid and then add it to the "White List." You will now beable to receive emails from that sender.
